This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychologist who enjoys fastpaced, varied clinical work and who thrives in multidisciplinary hospital environments., We are looking for a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join the expanding Liaison Psychiatry service based at Wonford House in Exeter. The post is full time and would require flexibility as the role works both closely alongside the Liaison Psychiatry team as well as Acute Colleagues within the Royal Devon University Hospital, Eastern., The principal purpose of the job is to improve the psychological health & wellbeing of people within the post holders specialist field of practice. A key responsibility of this role will be providing psychological input into the specific service areas of development relating to Integrated Psychological Medicine at the RDUH Hospital.

At an operational level this will ensure the Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service improves access to psychological therapies, is an integrated part of all relevant clinical pathways, delivers high clinical standards, makes best use of its scarce resources and develops evidence based practice that meets needs and choices of people using the service.

The Postholder will be expected to run and deliver a number of psychologically informed training programmes for staff in the hospital and liaison service.

The post holder will work collaboratively to ensure a whole systems integrated approach to service delivery and development.

A substantial part of this role will be to provide a qualified specialist psychological inputto people using the service, specialist psychological assessment and if applicable therapeutic intervention as well as offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to Liaison Psychiatry and medical service MDT colleagues and carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the services policies and procedures.
