LGV Driver Class 2 - Crane Mounted

Up to four nights away per week may be required for this opportunity.Are you an experienced LGV driver looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to travel extensively? We have an exciting opportunity to join Groundforce as an LGV driver (Class 2), where you'll play a key role in delivering and collecting specialist equipment across the UK.Reporting to the Logistics Manager and working closely with our transport and operational teams, you will be responsible for providing a professional and courteous delivery/collection service of products and equipment to our diverse customer base.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver and collect equipment to/from customers, suppliers, and other Vp businesses, ensuring all items are professionally, safely, and promptly transported.Load and unload equipment using a lorry-mounted crane (where applicable), ensuring company policies and safety procedures are followed.Ensure full compliance with DVSA Driver regulations, including
tachograph recording (driving periods, rest periods, etc.).Conduct daily defect inspections on the vehicle and crane before use, keeping them well-maintained and cleaned weekly.Adhere to site and task-specific Lift Plans before carrying out any lifting operations.Ensure equipment is loaded correctly, safely, and securely restrained before transportation.Maintain and inspect chains, straps, and securing equipment, ensuring all lifting gear is safe and defect-free.Carry out lifting operations safely and ensure all necessary certifications are available in the vehicle.Provide a helpful, customer-focused approach, keeping customers informed of delivery schedules and estimated arrival times.Use the M42 App for delivery/collection scheduling and customer signature capture.Identify any losses or damage to equipment before customer sign-off, taking confirmation photos as needed.Assist with query resolution by documenting equipment conditions with photos before unloading and after loading at
depots, customer sites, and suppliers.The cab will be a sleeper cab, so there will be a requirement to do nights out as needed. The vehicle will travel extensively across the South and into the Northern region, meaning up to four nights away per week may be required.Provide branch operational support when your vehicle is off the road, assisting with general duties as needed.What We're Looking ForValid full, clean UK driving licenceLGV Class 2 (C) Licence - Minimum 2 years' LGV driving experience requiredCertificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) - EssentialRITB / CPCS / ALLMI / NORS accredited qualification - Minimum 2 years' experience requiredSlinger/Signaller qualification - EssentialFlexibility with working hours - Early starts, late finishes, overnight stays (up to four per week), and occasional weekend workStrong customer service skills - Professional, courteous, and acts as an ambassador for the company at all timesBasic English and Maths skills -
