LGV Driver Carrier

Swansea Council is seeking Refuse & Recycling LGV Driver-Operatives to join our dedicated Waste Management team. This is more than just a driving job - it's a hands-on opportunity to contribute to keeping our city clean, green, and sustainable. What You'll Be Doing:

• Safely driving and operating LGV Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicles across Swansea.
• Collecting domestic, commercial, and recycling waste from homes, flats, schools, and businesses.
• Supporting the team with manual loading when not driving.
• Promoting responsible waste disposal and encouraging recycling among residents.
• Conducting essential vehicle checks and minor maintenance tasks.
• Bank holiday working, weekend working as needed., Work in a role that has a direct positive impact on your local community.

• A valid LGV Class 2 driving licence, CPC qualification preferred.
• A strong sense of teamwork and reliability.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and a commitment to safety standards.
• Good communication and customer care skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime and in varying weather conditions.
