Full Job Description
The UCLH LGI Surgical Fellow role is a 6 month (possible extension), post ST5+ position designed to provide comprehensive, advanced training in the surgical and multidisciplinary management of complex GI and colorectal pathology. The position offers immersive experience in a high-volume, tertiary referral centre with a strong academic, research, and clinical governance ethos. 1. To make an effective contribution to reaching the Trust's vision, strategic objectives and key work programmes. 2. To enhance and develop the General Surgery Service 3. To promote the highest clinical standards 4. To work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to provide effective delivery and management of the service. 5. To participate in the teaching and clinical supervision of the surgical trainees 6. To actively participate in departmental and trust matters concerning clinical governance. 7. To participate in regular audit of clinical activity and effectiveness that aid improvement and development of the General Surgery service. 8. To ensure active participation in continuing medical education (CME) for self and others.
