Clark Door are looking to recruit a Level 3 Engineering Design Technician to join their Carlisle team this September! - Learning how to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation of 2D and 3D engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Supporting Project & Design Engineers with customer projects from order receipt through to manufacture and installation.
- Learning how to produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings for customer review and approval.
- Developing an understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing methods and design principles.
- Assisting with site surveys and learning how products interface with building structures.
- Working closely with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
- Learning how to review technical information and identify potential design issues.
- Supporting quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Developing project management skills, including planning, communication and coordination with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Building knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within engineering, manufacturing and construction environments.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and learning how engineering solutions are developed and delivered.
