What You'll Do

As a Childcare Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to provide high-quality care and education for children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Your duties will include:

• Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Observing, supporting and extending children's learning through planned activities and play experiences
• Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
• Acting as a key person for a small group of children, supporting their individual needs and development
• Promoting inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs where appropriate
• Following safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and hygiene procedures to ensure children remain safe and well cared for
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming nursery environment
• Working as part of a supportive team and assisting during inspections by regulatory bodies
• Supporting students and taking part in training, supervision and professional development
• Promoting the nursery to current and prospective families
• Following all nursery policies and procedures and carrying out any other reasonable duties requested by the nursery manager
