Full Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Lettings Officer to join our very busy Lettings team. Our aim is to provide our customers a positive journey at a stressful time. We want our customers to recommend us to everyone they know and become the landlord of choice.

What could you be doing?

In this role you will be balancing supporting our customers and providing exceptional service with meeting the needs of the business to reduce how long our available homes are empty and losing rental income. You will assess the applicants' circumstances and their suitability to be a customer, ensuring we are creating successful tenancies and sustainable communities.

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week across 5 days. The role is a home-based one, however there is an expectation to travel in to our offices at least once a month for team meetings. This will alternate between our Worcester (WR5 1AQ) and Birmingham offices (B37 7YD). During your induction period, you will also have the opportunity to occasionally work in the office to aide your development in the role.

Are you result driven with the ability to deliver great customer service?, A background in social housing or lettings would be preferred,

-Great interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve issues positively and objectively.

-The ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider lettings team to achieve business objectives and meet KPI targets and deadlines.

-Experience of working closely with customers in a result driven environment and enjoy working towards performance indicators.

-A customer focussed, positive mindset is a must along with strong organisational and decision-making skills to thrive in this busy team.

-Whilst this role is home based; you would need to ideally be based within a commutable distance of our Birmingham or Worcester offices.
