Full Job Description
37 hours per week (including 1 day per week at the education provider)
Fixed term for 18 months to a maximum of two years
We have two vacancies within the 1Leisure team. As a Leisure Team Member Apprentice, you will be a member of a hardworking, busy team working with the members and customers of the 1Leisure Centres.
You will be required to work at both 1Leisure Medina & 1Leisure Heights.
As part of your role, you will undertake the daily supervision of children and adults using 1Leisure centre facilities, including maintaining changing facilities. Undertake duties on and off poolside as directed and required by management to meet operational manning levels. Attend meetings and staff training as required. Ensure the day-to-day cleanliness of poolside, changing rooms are maintained through hourly checks as set out in daily schedules. Once qualified in other areas you will be required to assist in other areas within the Centre.
As part of the apprenticeship, you will also undertake the following qualifications
NPLQ (National pool Lifeguard Qualification) to be taken 1st Week of work (unless already qualified)
First Aid at Work
Swim Teacher Level 1 with IOS
Swim Teacher Level 2 with IOS
Fitness Instructor Level 2
In order to undertake the scheme, you will need to be able to take and pass the STA Pool lifeguarding certificate. Good swimming ability is essential with full details of the course and ability required via this link https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0390-v1-1
Flexibility to work various sites, shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends & bank holidays
