Full Job Description

  • Provide strategic employment law advice to HR, business leaders and other internal stakeholders across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
  • Advise on a broad range of employment matters including hiring, contractual issues, compensation and benefits, restructuring and workforce reductions, immigration, workplace privacy, disability and human rights matters.
  • Manage employment-related disputes and litigation, assessing legal, regulatory and reputational risk and developing appropriate case strategies.
  • Lead and support complex HR and employee-related investigations.
  • Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments and advise the business on their potential impact.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, including oversight of performance, strategy and costs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Legal function on cross-border and global employment matters.
  • Support wider legal, regulatory and business projects as required.

    Extensive experience advising on UK employment law, gained within private practice, an in-house legal function or a combination of both.
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Experience managing both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Strong understanding of employment-related risk within a complex or highly regulated organisation.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or advising an international business.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters and competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior colleagues across Legal, HR and the wider business.
  • Commercial approach to legal advice, with the ability to balance legal, regulatory, reputational and business considerations.
