Full Job Description

As Legal Case Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that children and families receive timely, high-quality and legally robust interventions throughout pre-proceedings and care proceedings. Your focus will be on driving timely decision-making, reducing delay and ensuring children achieve permanence and positive outcomes at the earliest opportunity. You will analyse case progression, performance and thematic information to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement. Through robust monitoring and reporting, you will provide assurance to senior leaders, support governance arrangements and contribute to inspection readiness and continuous improvement activity, including reporting requirements for Ofsted and internal performance frameworks. Working across Children's Services and with legal colleagues, you will provide expert advice, guidance and challenge to practitioners and managers, helping to strengthen practice and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and the Public Law Outline. You will identify and escalate risks, barriers and potential reputational issues, supporting the service to respond effectively and maintain high standards of practice.
