About the role

The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer (Teaching) position in MSci on a 0.38 FTE. This is a fixed-term role until 27/09/2027 the first instance. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Academic Staff. About you

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality and engaging design teaching across the designated Architecture MSci Year 1 modules, preparing relevant teaching materials and supporting students to develop their architectural design skills, critical thinking and creative practice. They will provide effective academic support, assessment and constructive feedback through individual and group teaching, contribute to marking, portfolio reviews, assessment panels and other academic activities, and work collaboratively with Programme Directors, Module Coordinators and the wider teaching team to support programme delivery and development. They will contribute positively to the wider student experience, including reviews, induction, field trips and summer show activities, while maintaining and developing their subject and teaching expertise through scholarship, professional development and engagement with current research, ARB/RIBA requirements and UCL teaching developments.

They will also foster an inclusive, supportive and stimulating learning environment that reflects UCL's Ways of Working and institutional values.
