The midwifery teaching team participate in teaching, assessing and supporting pre and post registration midwifery students and those from health and social care programmes across the School.

You will bring a high level of insight into contemporary midwifery practice, alongside experience of practice-based education, enabling you to support students effectively across academic and practice settings.

You will have a sound knowledge of current policy, professional standards, and the theories and concepts that underpin midwifery practice and education. Registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is essential. You will have achieved, be working towards, or be willing to undertake a Master's degree in a health- or education-related discipline, and you will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to continuing professional development relevant to your role. You will also hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised postgraduate qualification in higher education.
