About the Role
We are seeking a creative, committed and student-centred Lecturer in Art (SEND) to join our Learning for Living and Work team.
You will deliver engaging and inclusive Art provision to learners with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, helping them to develop creativity, confidence, independence and life skills alongside their educational outcomes.
Teaching will take place across a range of SEND programmes, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning, access to the curriculum and learner progression. You will work closely with the Curriculum Manager and wider team to support curriculum development and ensure high-quality teaching, learning and assessment., Deliver high-quality Art teaching to learners with a range of SEND
- Support learners’ personal, social and emotional development
- Plan inclusive lessons and develop accessible learning materials
- Monitor and record learner progress and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment and marketing activity
- Provide tutorial, pastoral and administrative support as required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet School and College objectives

You will have experience of teaching Art and/or relevant industry experience, with experience of working with SEND learners or a strong commitment to developing this expertise.
You will also have:

- Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
- A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A creative, flexible and inclusive approach to teaching
- A commitment to equality, safeguarding and continuous professional development
