Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer to join our team. The purpose of the role is to teach clinical and theoretical nursing skills in a range of settings and to facilitate the integration of students' clinical practice with their academic studies. To enhance the reputation of the Sunderland School of Nursing as a centre of excellence by engaging with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in nursing and health related topics.
The role will also require the post holder to support other nursing programmes including pre-registration nursing and CPD provision and to enhance the reputation of the Sunderland School of Nursing as a centre of excellence by engaging with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in nursing and health related topics.
We are looking for individuals with a current NMC Registration as a Learning Disabilities, Adult and/or Mental Health Nurse and a 1st degree or equivalent experience. You will have experience of current trends in teaching and learning in nursing and relevant experience of mentorship.
For a Senior Lecturer we would be looking for individuals with a Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject and experience of current trends in teaching and learning in advanced clinical skills with significant relevant experience of working with students.
