Lecturer in Sports Business Management

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Health, Social Work and Sport for a Part-Time Lecturer in Sports Business Management. The School delivers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development programmes and is committed to providing an excellent student experience through a research-informed, industry-engaged and practitioner-focused approach to teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will contribute to the academic development, teaching, assessment and enhancement of our Sports Business Management provision. You will be expected to deliver high-quality, evidence-based teaching, support student learning and achievement, undertake module leadership responsibilities, and contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative and contemporary curriculum. You will also have opportunities to engage with research, knowledge exchange, student recruitment, industry engagement and commercial activities within the School., Our people are our most important asset. You will likely be an industry professional with expertise in Sports Business Management and a passion for supporting student success. You will hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject and have experience of teaching within higher education, along with being an active member of an appropriate professional body, such as Chartered Management Institute or Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills who can effectively engage with a diverse student population and build productive relationships with colleagues, employers and external stakeholders. You will be able to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences using a range of contemporary teaching, learning and assessment methods and demonstrate the ability to develop high-quality teaching resources informed by current research and professional practice.
