Lecturer in Professional Law (Teaching & Scholarship)

The School wishes to appoint a suitably qualified lecturer able to contribute to the teaching of all its programmes but focused on the courses delivered by CPLS. The ability to teach one or more vocational modules on the BTC and the SPC is essential, as is the ability to deliver legal skills training.
This position is full time (35 hours per week), open ended and available immediately. Part time work will be considered but is dependent on the needs of the School.

Cardiff Professional Legal Studies (CPLS) is the department within the School of Law and Politics which currently offers the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Solicitors Practice Course (SPC) and Bar Training Course (BTC) - postgraduate routes to professional qualification for solicitors and barristers. Cardiff University is the only Russell Group University to offer all these courses. CPLS also provides nationwide assessment of Duty Solicitors, Police Station Representatives, and expert witnesses. Its courses - delivered by professionally qualified staff - are well established, highly regarded within the profession and command excellent levels of satisfaction from students., Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. Astudiaethau Cyfreithiol Proffesiynol Caerdydd yw'r adran yn Ysgol y Gyfraith a Gwleidyddiaeth sy'n cynnig y cwrs Diploma Graddedig yn y Gyfraith (GDL), y Cwrs Ymarfer Cyfreithwyr (SPC) a Chwrs Hyfforddiant y Bar (BTC) ar hyn o bryd - llwybrau ôl-raddedig i gymhwyster proffesiynol ar gyfer bargyfreithwyr a chyfreithwyr. Prifysgol Caerdydd yw'r unig brifysgol yng Ngrŵp Russell sy'n cynnig y cyrsiau hyn i gyd. Mae'r gallu i addysgu un neu ragor o fodiwlau galwedigaethol yn rhan o Gwrs Hyfforddiant y Bar a'r Cwrs Ymarferwyr Cyfreithwyr yn hanfodol, yn ogystal â'r gallu i gyflwyno hyfforddiant sgiliau cyfreithiol.
