Summary
The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) invites applications for a Lecturer in Microbiology to join the Department of Pathobiology and Population Sciences. You will be based in the Centre for Emerging, Endemic and Exotic Disease (CEEED); one of the UK's leading centres for research on infectious diseases affecting animals and humans.
The post is suitable for an individual who has completed a PhD in Microbiology or a closely related subject. The successful applicant will have a proven track-record of high-quality publications and demonstrate the potential to attract external funding in the area of bacterial zoonoses/antimicrobial resistance/veterinary microbiology (bacteriology). The department includes researchers with interests in AMR, One Health, Disease tracking in populations and host-pathogen interactions and the new role will interface with these areas.
