We are an ambitious and growing School of Health Sciences with a sustained history of excellence.

You will join a team that embraces innovation and is committed to delivering high-quality nursing education. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and developing Learning Disability Nursing portfolio spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) programmes, helping to shape the future workforce and advance professional practice.

The Learning Disability Nursing programme is student-centred, offering diverse and inclusive learning experiences across a range of practice settings. The programme is underpinned by strong and valued partnerships with practice learning partners and is enriched through meaningful engagement with people with learning disabilities, families, carers, advocacy organisations, and wider stakeholders, ensuring that lived experience informs learning, teaching, and programme development.

The successful candidate may be an experienced Learning Disability nurse lecturer or new to Learning Disability education. Support in role will be provided for those new to education. The successful candidate(s) would be expected to:

  • Fully contribute to academic role including delivery of teaching and learning provision across the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum alongside the development of teaching resources and marking assignments.

  • Support the delivery of clinical skills and interprofessional learning across our range of programmes.
  • Engage in personal and professional development opportunities to expand knowledge base including participation on Bangor University's PgCertHE scheme.
