Full Job Description
We are seeking a creative and committed individual to undertake a unique split-role opportunity within our School of Creative Industries. The post comprises two separate contracts: a Lecturer in Fashion and Textiles role with 6 hours teaching contact per week, fixed term until July 2027, and a 22-hour per week permanent Instructor Technician in Costume Construction role. Working across both roles, you will inspire and support learners through engaging teaching, practical instruction and workshop-based learning, helping them to develop the skills, confidence and creativity needed to succeed in Fashion, Textiles and Costume Construction., All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment. As part of our safer recruitment processes, all new starters must successfully complete the required pre-employment checks prior to commencing employment. This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. For roles that involve direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also a mandatory requirement.
