Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of university programmes. You will bring current knowledge and understanding of the engineering industry into your teaching, helping students connect their learning with the needs and developments of the profession.

This is an opportunity to share your expertise, support learners to build their knowledge and skills, and contribute to the continued success of our Engineering provision.

You will teach motivated and proficient students, 96% of whom are employer-sponsored, either directly by a local employer or through a Degree Apprenticeship. You will be working with learners who are supported by employers and are developing their expertise alongside their studies. Your industry knowledge and teaching will help create a relevant and engaging learning experience for these ambitious students.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate effective teaching, ensuring that learning is carefully prepared and its impact regularly reviewed. You will also take an active part in the marketing activities of Burnley College University Courses (BCUC), including student recruitment and admissions within the Engineering Division. This provides an opportunity to contribute beyond the classroom and help promote the Engineering programmes to prospective students.

The salary for this post is up to £40,665
