Summary
Southwark College require a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Lecturer in Computing. The post holder will teach and manage learning on a range of IT and computing qualifications from E3 to level 3 for both adults and 16-18-year olds. Courses include T-Level, BTEC Level 3 RQF, City and Guilds, OCN and Gateway qualifications. The successful applicant will lead on the delivery of the course and be able to manage learner attendance and progress. Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you will be committed to promoting excellence in the quality of standards of teaching and learning.
This post requires a strong background in Computer Science and IT related subjects teaching Computing and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in this sector.
An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be full time 1.0 FTE and will include teaching in the evening. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-motivated, cohesive and successful team.
