Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our dynamic team at Havering Sixth Form. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students across a range of programmes from entry level to Level 3. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student progression, and contributing to the continued development of our Health & Social Care curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging teaching and assess student progress across Health & Social Care
  • Plan and develop high-quality lessons, learning materials, and curriculum content
  • Support students academically and pastorally to achieve and progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, ensuring quality standards and compliance

    Has experience teaching or training in Health & Social Care
  • Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification
  • Has a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (Biology knowledge desirable)
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and understanding of current practices
  • Can engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team and independently
