Full Job Description

As a Personal Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping young people transition to independence with confidence and resilience. Your support will cover practical life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and managing tenancies, while ensuring young people remain engaged in education, employment, or training opportunities.

You will work closely with young people through regular visits, building trusting relationships and delivering hands-on support tailored to their individual needs. You will also take the lead in completing Pathway Plans, creating clear, achievable goals that empower young people on their journey to independence., Develop and deliver personalised Pathway Plans focused on essential independence skills including financial management, practical skills and problem solving, and tenancy responsibilities.

Maintain regular, meaningful contact with young people through home visits and outreach, ensuring ongoing guidance and encouragement.

Work collaboratively with key partner agencies such as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), housing teams, rent management, and the Virtual School to coordinate support and access vital resources.

Monitor and support young people's engagement with education, employment, or training, helping them to set and achieve career and learning goals.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date completion of Pathway Plans, tracking progress and adapting support as needs evolve.

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

Level 3 qualification like BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent. This includes English and Maths.
