In this role you will work alongside our dedicated teaching staff to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to pupils and staff under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher. The post is 37 hours a week and is a Fixed Contract for 1 year. About the role: Due to recent growth The Archbishop's School has created a number of exciting new posts. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to students and staff under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher and SENCo.
- Work with teachers to support teaching and learning and wider interventions with those with diagnosed needs.
- Work with individual students to support their learning and engagement in lessons
- Contribute to creating a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to students learning. You will develop resources, including photocopying, filing and the display and presentation of pupil work.

If you are a talented and committed Learning Support Assistant seeking a new and exciting opportunity, we have the perfect role for you., - Have a Level 1 or Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with the required proficient practical skills, including a Minimum of Level 2 in English and mathematics or the equivalent.
- Previous experience of working with children with good influencing skills and the ability to be able to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities and confidentiality. If you feel you have the skills and expertise we are looking for, then we would love to hear from you.
