Learning Support Assistant - Specialising in Science

To work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion to support, monitor, and track the progress of targeted students at all key stages. To implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of students, including more specific support for those with special educational needs to make accelerated progress in Science. This work may take place in the classroom or in other teaching areas., As a Learning Support Assistant within Sidney Stringer Academy, you'll be able to make a key difference to a pupil's educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skill set with key training and development opportunities available.

• Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
• Excellent Science skills
• Evidence of having worked with children in some capacity
• A positive interest in working with students, and an ability to inspire them
• Ability to build good working relationships with a range of colleagues
• Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation
• General understanding of National Curriculum and other basic learning programmes

Permanent Sidney Stringer Academy You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy., 35.00 hours per week - term time only plus 5 days 8:30 am to 4:00 pm - Monday to Friday
