Salary - The role is part of the Teaching and Learning Job Family and is placed in Pay Band 2 (Vocational) and has a minimum starting salary of £25,918 per annum (Full Time Equivalent), £22,364 (Actual). The salary is pro rata'd for Term Time Only and paid evenly over 12 calendar months, irrespective of when school holidays fall.

Thank you for your interest in the Learning Support Assistant position in the Primary Phase at William Hulme's Grammar School (WHGS). This is a permanent role working closely with children who have SEN including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable pupils. You will play a key role in helping children access learning, manage their emotions, and develop positive relationships. Experience of working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH, is essential (minimum 2 years). You must be able to work effectively as part of a supportive team, communicate confidently with parents and carers, and maintain a calm and consistent approach in the classroom.

Essential qualifications: Minimum grade A-C or 9-4 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent), TA3/Level 3 qualification, or a willingness to undertake training
