Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cardiff. This is a highly rewarding role where you will have a direct impact on a child's confidence, progress, and overall school experience. In this role, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential both academically and emotionally. Responsibilities

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Supporting classroom learning and adapting activities to meet individual needs
  • Building pupils' confidence, independence, and communication skills
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people (school or similar setting preferred)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong understanding of ALN and safeguarding practices
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
