St Andrew's C of E Primary School is looking for a positive, enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant / Mid-day Meals Supervisor to join a team committed to developing the whole child. - Ensuring all children, including those with special educational needs, are supported and challenged appropriately, As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning and care for children, including those with Special Educational Needs. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Supporting children's learning through scaffolding, guided play, group work, and one-to-one interventions
- Monitoring children's progress, observing, recording, and assisting in assessments
- Supporting the personal, social, emotional, physical development of children
- Promoting positive behaviour and a caring, respectful classroom environment
- Working with pupils with additional needs (SEND) to ensure inclusion
- Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to plan and review interventions
- Helping maintain an organised, stimulating, safe learning environment

- Preferably has experience working with young children
- Have a minimum qualification of Grade C GCSE for Maths and English, or equivalent (NVQ Level 3 desirable)
- Demonstrates warm, caring interpersonal skills and a genuine love of working with young children
- Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, parents and staff
- Can adapt to individual children's needs and use differentiated approaches
- Is proactive, flexible, reliable and a good team player
- Shares and upholds Christian values and is willing to contribute positively to our school ethos
- Is committed to ongoing professional development
