Role Purpose

We are on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Enhanced Learning Team. In this role, you will support students with a variety of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, helping them build confidence and independence while achieving success.

This is more than just a classroom support role; it's about developing trusted relationships and providing personalized support that makes a lasting impact on our students' lives. As an LSA, you will collaborate closely with teachers, the SENDCo, parents, and external professionals to deliver targeted support in the classroom, in small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting students with SEND in the classroom and through targeted interventions.


• Acting as a key worker for identified students, tracking progress and providing consistent support.


• Delivering small group and one-to-one programs as directed by the SENDCo.


• Creating and maintaining student profiles, learning resources, and support plans.


• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes.


• Supporting students' social, emotional, and pastoral development.


• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to review meetings as needed.


• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.

What You Will Bring

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.


• Experience supporting children or young people.


• A strong understanding of how positive relationships can help students succeed.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• The ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire students.


• Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.


• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.


• Relevant NVQ3 or equivalent, or several years of relevant experience is desirable.


• First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one is desirable.


• Understanding of current provisions for children with special educational needs and developments in SEN is desirable.
