Full Job Description

Tyneview Primary School is seeking to appoint a Support Assistant Level 2 in our Playgroup. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to provide classroom support under the direction of the teacher, answering to pupils' social, emotional and physical needs.

  • Level 2 Learning Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to use language and other communication skills that children can understand and relate to.
  • Ability to empathise with the needs of children and in particular able to establish positive relationships with pupils.
  • Ability to supervise groups of pupils.

    The post is part time 3.5 hours each morning, Mon - Fri, term time only plus 5 training days. Starting in January 2027, and is fixed term to 31st August 2027.
