Golborne High School is entering an exciting new phase in the development of its SEND, inclusion and pastoral provision. As we continue to expand and strengthen our support for pupils, we are creating new opportunities for talented professionals who share our belief that every child deserves to feel a strong sense of belonging, achieve their potential and thrive within an ambitious mainstream school community.

Our vision is rooted in inclusive practice, ensuring that barriers to learning, participation and wellbeing are identified early and addressed through high-quality support, adaptive teaching and strong pastoral care. We are investing in our workforce so that colleagues can play a central role in shaping a provision that is ambitious, nurturing and responsive to the needs of all learners.

Supporting all pupils to aim high is at the heart of everything we do. Staff benefit from a rich programme of professional development, including access to NPQs, leadership pathways and specialist SEND and inclusion development programmes. Whether you are looking to build expertise, lead innovation or progress into wider leadership, Golborne provides an environment where colleagues can grow professionally while making a genuine difference to young people's lives.

With a new school building on the horizon and a growing commitment to inclusive education, this is a pivotal and exciting time to join Golborne High School and help shape the future of a school where ambition, belonging and opportunity are for everyone.

This is an excellent opportunity to support students' health, wellbeing and access to learning. Based within iClass, the successful candidate will provide medical support for pupils with health needs, administer medication, and ensure students are fully supported to participate in all aspects of school life; including lessons, educational visits and physical education activities.

We are seeking a highly organised and professional individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to join our team. The successful candidate will hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, a relevant first aid qualification, and be confident in using Microsoft Office applications. You will have experience of working in a busy environment and be able to respond effectively to changing priorities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, build positive relationships, and demonstrate a genuine understanding of and commitment to supporting the needs of young people.

Please read the job description and person specification for full details before applying. An application form and further details of the post are available from the school website Welcome to Golborne High School.

Closing date: Monday 5th October 2026 at 8am

Interview date: To be confirmed

Golborne High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is covered by the Protection of Children Act and is therefore subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

It should be noted that it is a requirement of the Governors of Golborne High School that candidates should, whenever possible, name as referees current and former employers (via Heads or Principals where employment at educational institutions is concerned).

Shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search. This is not part of the shortlisting process itself and the candidate will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern that come up during this search at interview.

We look forward to receiving your application should you be interested. If you have not heard from us by the interview date, you may assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer feedback on individual applications that are not shortlisted for interview.
