Full Job Description
Beaconsfield High School, an outstanding girls' grammar school, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our highly regarded Learning Support Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential in a school where academic excellence and student wellbeing go hand in hand. Our students are highly motivated, eager to learn and a pleasure to work with, creating an exceptionally rewarding environment for support staff.
Led by a highly experienced and respected SENDCo, our Learning Support Department is a collaborative, knowledgeable and dedicated team committed to ensuring that every student is able to flourish both inside and outside the classroom. Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals, the team provides tailored support that enables students to overcome barriers to learning and develop the confidence, independence and resilience needed for future success. We are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to inclusion, enjoys building positive relationships with young people and is passionate about making a meaningful difference every day.
As an extremely successful and oversubscribed selective school, we welcome applications from candidates with a range of educational, pastoral or support backgrounds. In return, we offer the opportunity to work with exceptional students, supportive colleagues and a leadership team that values professional development and encourages continuous learning. This is an ideal role for someone who is patient, adaptable and committed to helping every student participate fully in school life and achieve their very best.
Our vision is "to help girls of character, curious in thought, courageous in action and confident in themselves" and the Learning Support Department plays a vital role in ensuring that every student has the opportunity to fulfil that vision, regardless of the challenges they may face.
