Our approach is person-centred and empowering, ensuring every learner is supported to develop, achieve, and thrive in a way that's right for them. About Our Swansea Schools As a member of our bank team, you'll have the opportunity to work across both of our specialist schools in Swansea:

  • Ty Trafle School, West Cross - A specialist setting focused on helping pupils build confidence, independence, and life skills through tailored educational programmes and therapeutic support.
  • Both schools share a commitment to providing outstanding education and creating positive outcomes for every learner. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
  • Support teachers to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them develop social and academic skills.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through patience, empathy, and encouragement.
  • Assist with personal care routines where required, ensuring every child's comfort and dignity.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support each pupil's individual progress.
  • Help organise and take part in creative, hands-on learning activities, both in and out of the classroom.

Has a caring, compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for helping children and young people.
  • Brings energy, patience, and a positive approach to every day.
  • Is adaptable, reliable, and confident working across different school environments.
  • Holds GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Ideally has experience working with children with additional learning needs, although full training is provided.

    In return, we offer:
  • A supportive, friendly workplace where your contributions are valued.
  • Flexible bank opportunities across both Swansea schools, providing variety and valuable experience.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • The chance to make a real, lasting impact in the lives of the young people you support.
  • Please note: This role involves working with children in a regulated capacity and requires an Enhanced DBS Check, including a Barred List check. If you're ready to be part of a team that believes in potential, progress, and positivity, apply today and start your journey with Orbis Education & Care, supporting learners across Dan Y Coed School (Gowerton) and Ty Trafle School (West Cross).
