Learning Support Assistant REQUIRED for October 2026 or ASAP 36 hours a week, five days a week, term-time plus one week (P3- P5) £28,617- £29,436 FTE (pro-rata £24,477 - £25177 Voluntary Aided NOR: 1200 300 in 6th Form Our school is very highly regarded, heavily oversubscribed and enjoys consistently outstanding examination results. Finchley Catholic is a very rewarding place to work with a supportive collegiate atmosphere. This post is for term time only, plus 5 Inset Days and for 36 hours per week, to support students before, during and after school. Applications are invited for the above Learning Support Assistant post to support pupils who have been identified as having Special Educational Needs. You will:
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
- Set high expectations with all students
- Differentiate work for designated students, ensuring they are achieving a good level of progress
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
- Work closely within the SEND department and the wider staff You are:

- Committed to achieving high standards of learning and behaviour for all children The level 1 post does not necessarily require previous LSA experience. It may be suitable for those considering a move into teacher training. If you are applying for a level 2 position, previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is a pre-requisite.
