Learning Support Assistant

We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work with students aged 16-19 who have additional and Special Educational Needs, many of whom have EHCPs. You will be supporting these students in lessons scaffolding learning and working in participation with the subject teacher, and individually through one-to-one or small group study support sessions. You will also support at social times with clubs and supervising the three Academic Support rooms.

The ideal person will have experience of supporting SEND at primary, secondary school, or in Further Education/Sixth Form or be keen to develop their knowledge, and work in the area of SEND, teaching and learning or other aspects of work within education., This is a great opportunity for a person keen to gain experience of working with students within a sixth-form college environment. This is a term-time only role, working 37 hours per week and is fixed-term until 31st August 2028. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is looking to start their career in education, or possibly someone who has recently graduated from university or is taking a gap year or an educational professional looking to move into the field of Further Education.
