Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support our learners to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing the highest level of support, whether that be supporting our learners on the farm, in the classroom or on a supported internship. Set in the heart of Sherwood Forest, our sensory rich 32-acre main campus offers first-class facilities to enable our learners and citizens to thrive in a safe and inspiring environment. Our education and care programmes focus on three themes: independence; health and well-being; and employability. Everyone has different needs, so we tailor our programmes for individuals to focus on achieving their goals, their way. To thrive in this role, you will need to be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. Experience in working with people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities is desirable. This role involves regulated activity with our learners therefore we will be required to carry out a full enhanced with child and adult barred lists DBS check as part of our pre-employment checks., Our Learning Support Assistants work on a 38-week contract which means you will work your hours within the college term time and then be on annual leave throughout the college holidays but still enjoy the benefits of receiving a pro rata salary. -35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 4.30pm.

Maths and English Functional Skills and ICT Skills at an appropriate level for the service or work towards within an agreed timescale, Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
