What skills and experience we're looking for
What we need:
Due to the continued expansion of the Academy and its learning support offer, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in the Specialised Learning Centre (SLC). The role of the SLC is to ensure that all students achieve their potential and any barriers to learning are identified and supported. The ability to work flexibly across all age groups and subject areas, and the confidence to deal with challenging behaviours is essential for this role.
The ability to offer First Aid support or to be willing to undertake First Aid training would be desirable. Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential.

What we can offer you:
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Free on-site car parking and secure cycle store.
- Cycle to work scheme following successful probation period.
- Occupational sick pay
- Blue Light Discount Card
Commitment to safeguarding
Sir Robert Pattinson Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all of its pupils. Each pupil's welfare is of paramount importance. We recognise that some children may be especially vulnerable to abuse. We recognise that children who are abused or neglected may find it difficult to develop a sense of self-worth and to view the world in a positive way. We will always take a considered and sensitive approach in order that we can support all of our pupils
