Full Job Description
As a Learning Support Assistant at Highworth, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to access learning, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for individuals and small groups. You will help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment, supporting children with a range of needs while building strong relationships that enable them to succeed both academically and personally. - GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 (or higher) or relevant qualifications in working with children (desirable)
- First Aid qualification (desirable) Experience:
- Experience of working with primary-aged children, either in a paid or voluntary role (essential)
- Previous experience in a primary school setting (desirable) Knowledge and Skills:
- Good level of literacy, including a strong standard of written English
- Understanding of how to support children with a range of needs, including SEND
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting teaching and learning and managing behaviour
- ICT literate and able to support classroom administration Personal Qualities:
- Enjoys working with children and is committed to supporting their development
- Able to work flexibly, adapt to change and prioritise effectively
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
- Organised, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Motivated, resilient and able to work with initiative as well as under direction

Hours: Full time; 5 days a week; 8.30am-3.30pm with 30 minute lunch break Salary: Bucks Pay Range ISN 6-10 £24,836-£25,823 pa, Actual salary for full time 32.5 hours: £18,040-£18,757 pa
