Full Job Description
- Provide in-class and out-of-class support to students, enabling them to participate fully in learning activities.
- Assist with communication, mobility, and practical needs to promote each student's independence and dignity.
- Work closely with tutors to deliver and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to student records, person-centred planning, and session evaluations.
- Uphold St Joseph's values and policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and dignity of care.
- Occasionally stand in for tutors when required and take initiative to support group activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and patient approach to care. - Organised, adaptable, and able to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Proven ability to motivate and support others in a learning or care setting.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities (desirable).
- A commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
- An understanding of the importance of person-centred support.
