Summary
Learning Resource Centre Assistant
Salary: Support Staff Band E, £25,558 - £26,818 FTE, actual salary pro rata £22,718 - £23,838.
A recruitment and retention allowance may be offered for an outstanding candidate.
Contract Type: Full time, Term Time plus two weeks (40 weeks)
Contract Term: Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: Monday 31st August 2026
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and motivated individual to be our front line of support in the college Learning Resource Centre. Promoting the LRC to staff and students as an effective centre for independent learning, arranging for resources to be available relevant to the curriculum, utilising the Library Management System and providing a wide range of other services.
The successful candidate should have experience of using a computerised library database, an understanding of library cataloguing and classification systems, and a good level of IT skill, along with a customer service approach to work.
