Full Job Description

You'll work closely with the wider Learning & Development team and stakeholders across the firm to:

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand learning needs and create practical, impactful solutions
  • Design and deliver engaging learning and development programmes
  • Lead key elements of our Associate and Senior Associate development
  • Facilitate workshops and development sessions for professional audiences
  • Explore new approaches to digital learning, learning technology and AI
  • Use feedback and insight to continually improve the learning experience
  • Support and develop two L&D Coordinators.

You'll bring strong Learning & Development experience, ideally from an L&D Business Partner, Learning Partner, Talent Development or similar role, along with:
  • Strong learning design and facilitation skills
  • Experience developing and delivering learning programmes
  • Confidence partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Competent using digital tools, with a curiosity about applying AI to enhance learning
  • Experience managing or developing others.
  • Experience within professional services, a partnership environment or the legal sector would be useful, but isn't essential.

We're looking for an experienced Learning & Development Business Partner to join our People team at Burges Salmon on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad, hands-on L&D role with plenty of scope to make an impact. You'll partner with stakeholders across Burges Salmon to understand development needs and turn them into engaging, practical learning experiences that help our people grow. You'll take ownership of key development programmes, including our Associate and Senior Associate offering, while also contributing to wider learning priorities across the firm. It's an opportunity to bring fresh thinking to how we design and deliver learning, explore new approaches including digital and AI-enabled learning, and help shape what great development looks like for the future.
