Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead impactful learning initiatives that support over 700 colleagues to develop, perform and thrive. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you'll play a key role in delivering Orwell's Learning & Development Strategy, driving the ongoing success of the Orwell Academy, maximising Apprenticeship Levy opportunities, enhancing mandatory training compliance (including Competence and Conduct Standard compliance), and creating engaging learning experiences that support organisational and individual growth. What you'll do:

  • Design and deliver innovative
  • blended learning programmes, including digital, virtual and face-to-face learning.
  • Lead onboarding, induction, leadership, coaching and mentoring initiatives.
  • Manage and develop the Orwell Academy, Learning Management System (LMS) and HRIS L&D module
  • Ensure high mandatory training compliance
  • Partner with leaders to identify learning needs, career pathways and talent development opportunities.
  • Support apprenticeship programmes and maximise levy funding.
  • Use data and insight to measure learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

    CIPD Learning & Development qualification (or extensive related work experience).
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organisational Development or Talent Development.
  • Experience delivering learning solutions through learning technologies and LMS platforms - experience using iTrent and Docebo is desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, facilitation and programme design skills.
  • A passion for developing people and creating an inclusive learning culture.
