Full Job Description

To become a Centre Assistant in our Learning resources department, we need someone who is "supportive, team player and can work off their own initiative.

The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

We have a variety of students from the surrounding area, we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college.

Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools.

Although this position is centred on our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In summary, as someone who has experience in providing support to people of a wide range of ages and abilities and Good I.T. skills, you will support in many aspects. To name a few:

Provide a comprehensive customer service for all Learning Centre users including answering enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face interactions.

Carry out desk duties in the Learning Centres, including the issuing and returning of resources, shelving returned materials, general tidying of the Learning Centres, taking payments for services such as printing, copying, and sale of stationery.

To book groups in the Learning Centre as requested, liaising with the Timetabling Team, including for Thrive and Elements sessions. Monitor and report on attendance as required.
