This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our Sixth Form provision. As Leader of Independent Learning, you will oversee the Study Room and support students in developing effective independent study habits, while contributing to a culture of high expectations, strong engagement, and academic success. You will work closely with the Director of Sixth Form, Sixth Form Leaders, and the wider staff team to ensure students are well-supported both academically and pastorally. In this role, you will:
- Supervise and manage the Sixth Form Study Room, ensuring a calm, purposeful learning environment
- Promote and develop students' independent study skills and habits
- Monitor student attendance, engagement, and use of study time effectively
- Act as a visible, approachable presence for students, offering guidance and support
- Uphold high standards of behaviour, dress code, and Sixth Form expectations
- Maintain resources, displays, and an organised learning environment
- Communicate effectively with Sixth Form Leaders and staff regarding student concerns
- Provide cover supervision across a range of subjects when required We are looking for someone who:
