Full Job Description
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation. We pay an attractive salary of £31,537 - £34,434 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council Youth Service is expanding its targeted support for young people who may be experiencing a range of vulnerabilities, including those at risk of homelessness and becoming disengaged from education, employment or training. As part of our Engagement and Progression Framework, you will work directly with young people aged 11 and over in a variety of youth work settings, including outreach provision, LGBT+ support groups and other community-based initiatives. Your role will focus on building positive relationships, providing early intervention and helping young people access the support they need to achieve positive outcomes. Working closely with schools, social services, housing and homelessness organisations, advocacy services and other key partners, you will play an important role in supporting young people to overcome challenges and increase their resilience. You will contribute to both one-to-one and group-based interventions, delivering homelessness awareness, education and prevention activities, while helping young people develop the skills and confidence needed for independent futures. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established network of professionals committed to preventing youth homelessness and improving the lives of young people across Caerphilly County Borough. If you are passionate about empowering young people and creating positive change within your community, we would love to hear from you. For the role, we ask that you have

- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to undertake duties in locations both in the borough and beyond, attend meetings and transport colleagues.
- Experience of supporting young people with a range of vulnerabilities and challenges that result in barriers to positively engaging in EET.
