Full Job Description
Manage and lead a specialist TB service withresponsibility for ensuring high quality, expertnursing care and support for patients and theircarers with a diagnosis of TB, MDRTB and nontuberculous mycobacteria, ensuring assessment and coordination of care in liaison with the multidisciplinary team and other health agencies.
o Responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills in TB.
o Lead on improving the quality of the servicethrough the development of nursing practice in linewith local and national strategy and guidanceensuring a robust and excellent service.
o To be an expert nurse with strategic input at regional and national level.
o Tuberculosis Control Board representative for the East of England, working in collaboration with UKHSA, NHS England.
o Be actively involved in the development of theservice locally and nationally ensuring positiveworking relationships with partner trusts andCambridge and Peterborough TB network whichincludes local authority, integrated care boards,primary care and public health colleagues.
