Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Lead Signalling Design Engineer (outside IR35) to join a major name in the rail industry. The purpose of the role is to manage design activities to ensure the safe, timely and successful implementation of signalling schemes.
Duties
- Management of signalling design plans, estimates and drawings
- Ensuring designs can be constructed and installed safely, in line with customer requirements and industry specifications
- Making sure project timescales and budgets are adhered to
- Check and review designs produced
- Provide guidance and support to the design team
Qualifications and Experience
- Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, degree or equivalent), along with track record in railway signalling design
- IRSE Signalling Principles Designer and Verifier Licence
- High level of proficiency in signalling scheme design, LAP, specifications, SSI wiring, fringe designs etc
