Full Job Description
- Facilitating the execution of customer authorised tasks in accordance with the project lifecycle process.
- Actively engage with the MoD Customer and internal stakeholders on potential opportunities and task execution. Attending meetings to ensure an understanding of the MoD requirements and strategy.
- Reporting project schedule and cost performance to senior management in accordance with project reporting cycle
- Applies appropriate PM methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
- Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate
- Deputises for the Project Manager as appropriate Your skills and experiences:
- Expected to have a PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification or another appropriate PM professional body
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM policies, processes, procedures and systems. Guides others in application of Project Management processes
- Experience of building relationships, influencing others and negotiating outcomes with stakeholders both inside and outside the company
- Gathers and analyses information, and supports development of solutions and of implementation approaches
The RECODE programme is an in-service support contract to deliver an evolved, scalable, modular and open Combat Management System (CMS), a refreshed Shared Infrastructure (SI), Networks and Training Systems, together with maintaining existing in-service CMS, SI, Networks and Training Systems across the Royal Navy surface platforms and shore bases. It provides a number of support services to deliver equipment availability, field support, obsolescence management, technology services, project management and integrated logistics support Why BAE Systems?
