The applicant must have qualifications of an Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience at band 5 with current registration and be able to demonstrate recent expert clinical practice in obstetrics and gynae and breast surgery. Dual role is essential so we require both anaesthetic and scrub experience. The applicant must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to lead a team and be open and receptive to change and have ambition to help drive the service forward. In return for your expert clinical skills and commitment to service development, we will support you to develop your leadership through a personalised development plan and leadership responsibilities. The position is full-time 37.5 hours a week. The applicant must be able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of current professional issues and practice evidenced by a current portfolio. Evidence of any training, mentorship or preceptorship of student ODPs and Nurses. Evidence of any management experience will be desirable as the role involves managing the department in the absence of the Band 7
