Lead Practitioner for Science

Shaping excellent teaching is at the heart of this role. At Neale Wade Academy, we are looking for a Lead Practitioner for Science who will strengthen practice across the faculty by modelling high quality teaching, supporting colleagues and driving improvement for every learner. Working as part of a collaborative and values-led school community, the role focuses on elevating the quality of teaching and learning, guiding professional development, and helping colleagues build inclusive, ambitious classrooms. • Model consistently high quality science teaching and create resources that support excellent practice.
• Lead coaching, mentoring, training and appraisal activities to develop colleagues' skills.
• Use data to identify teaching and pupil needs, plan targeted support and evaluate impact.
• Co-ordinate monitoring and evaluation activities, including observations, learning walks and work scrutiny.
• Support curriculum development, promote inclusive and effective pedagogy and contribute to academy improvement planning.
